Many specialists believe that the threat of a London flooded is very high, it is just a question of time.

The consequences could be very catastrophic for the million of people living there who would lose their property and risk to be injured or killed; and for the UK economy.

According to scientist, the threat of flooding is very high in coastal areas. There are a number of areas in England and Wales – detailed in the above map – considered to face an ongoing susceptibility to flooding by the Environment Agency.
